According to PANews, Linea has commenced the first phase of its decentralization roadmap by open-sourcing all its code repositories. This marks a significant step towards achieving full decentralization. The open-source code is available under the Apache License 2.0, allowing anyone to view, fork, and contribute to the project. This phase also includes achieving 100% EVM coverage and trust execution through zkEVM.

Linea's architecture comprises several key components: the Sequencer, responsible for block ordering, construction, and execution; the State Manager, which manages the L2 network and account states; the Coordinator, which oversees zk-proof creation and ensures their persistence on the L1 ETH network; the Traces API, which provides trace counts and generates trace files for zk-proofs; and the Provers, which generate, compress, and aggregate zk-SNARK proofs.
