Coinspeaker Hamster Kombat to Finally Conduct Its TGE Event in July after Crossing Over 200M Users

A popular play-to-earn (P2E) crypto game on Telegram Hamster Kombat has exciting updates planned for this month. The Web3 platform is finally set for the long-anticipated Token Generation Event (TGE) to mark its debut on The Open Network (TON).

Players believe this upcoming event could be accompanied by an airdrop distribution. The platform has been teasing users about the possible launch of an airdrop to compensate gamers who have been interacting with the app since its launch.

During the event, qualified users will be able to claim their airdrop allocation directly from the app. Currently, Hamster requires users to connect their TON wallets to the app and complete specific tasks to qualify for the airdrop.

Airdrop Distribution Details

The airdrop distribution will see users receive the app’s native crypto known as HMSTR. The token, which has a maximum supply of ten billion, is currently listed on various crypto exchanges, including Gate.io and Bitget.

In addition to the TGE, the project’s roadmap shows that Hamster has another event planned for July. The Telegram-based game wants to introduce more in-game features to keep players engaged on the platform. These new developments are designed to empower the community and increase the appeal of its token HMSTR.

The upcoming in-game features will introduce more use cases for the token, allowing users to utilize the digital asset for different purposes within the GameFi ecosystem.

Hamster also gave a sneak peek of its future updates for the rest of the year. In the third quarter (Q3) of 2024, the Web3 game will see the introduction of squad combats, new characters and skins, time-limited events, and live events to entertain its rapidly growing user base.

The blockchain P2E game has other updates planned for the last quarter (Q4) of the year, although it prefers to keep these a secret for now.

Is Hamster Headed for a Guinness World Record?

Hamster became a trending topic within the crypto community following its official launch in March. The app follows in the footsteps of both Notcoin (NOT) and Tapswap, which are also based on Telegram.

Last week, the Telegram-based project announced that it is the third-fastest app in history to surpass 150 million users. Hamster reported it broke records by reaching 200 million users in just three months, making it one of the hottest trends in the crypto world for 2024.

This accomplishment is significant in the tech industry, as few companies can attract such rapid attention.

Pokémon GO, the 2016 augmented reality mobile game, took 33 days to reach 150 million users, holding the record until the summer of 2023, when Threads, Instagram’s competitor to X, achieved the milestone in just six days. Now, Hamster has become the third platform to achieve this feat.

Shortly after reaching this milestone, the platform set another record  on Wednesday by surpassing 210 million users, which begs the question: is Hamster reaching for a Guinness World Record?
