According to Odaily, an Ethereum user known as "p0pular.eth" has successfully convinced the AI agent Freysa to break its own rules and transfer a prize pool valued at 13.19 ETH, approximately $47,000. Freysa was originally designed to prohibit any transfer of funds, requiring users to pay a fee to send messages in an attempt to persuade the AI. With each attempt, the fee incrementally increased.
After 482 attempts, "p0pular.eth" managed to exploit a loophole in Freysa's rules, successfully invoking the transfer function and emerging as the sole winner. This experiment highlights both the potential and challenges of integrating AI with blockchain technology. It also raises concerns about the reliability of AI in high-risk scenarios, as the incident demonstrates how AI systems can be manipulated despite their intended safeguards.
