Cryptocurrency hedge fund Pantera Capital has reiterated its bullish stance on bitcoin, predicting that its price could rise to $114,000 by August 2025.
This prediction came at a time when the industry is struggling with issues such as inflation, US Federal Reserve interest rate policy and the escalating crisis in the Middle East.
In its latest report, Pantera Capital re-analyzed bitcoin's historical performance due to its recent halving in November 2022.
A stock-flow model was used to estimate the supply of #bitcoin relative to the rate of new bitcoin #mining .
Historical data shows that the bitcoin price rises significantly in response to such events, sometimes up to 93 times.
By examining growth before and after a halving event, Pantera Capital found that, on average, the price peaks about 2.6 years after a halving event.
