$ONE Harmony (ONE) is a decentralized blockchain platform that allows users to create, use, host, and manage decentralized applications (DApps). Harmony is hosted on Ethereum and uses random state sharding to allow for the creation of blocks in seconds. Harmony's Fast Byzantine Fault Tolerant (FBFT) consensus protocol, along with Boneh--Lynn--Shacham (BLS) constant-sized signatures, and random state sharding, allow for increased transaction and block generation speeds.
Harmony's blockchain claims to solve issues with bottlenecks faced by Ethereum through the introduction of a new sharding-based blockchain that operates using a unique consensus algorithm. Harmony also introduces Verifying Random Function (VRF) to protect shards that are not memihak and cannot be predicted. VRF gives nodes and validators tasks and then randomly assigns them again.
Harmony is scalable, secure, and aims to innovate the way DApps work.
