According to PANews, Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated during an earnings call that Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) are separate research fields and are not central to Tesla's core mission of developing autonomous driving and robotics. Musk emphasized that Tesla's strategic focus is on practical applications, particularly through the development of the Full Self-Driving (FSD) system and the Optimus robot to drive technological advancements.
Musk highlighted that the Optimus robot could become the most valuable part of Tesla's product lineup, potentially even the most valuable product in history. He noted that Tesla possesses all the core elements needed to expand humanoid robots, including an AI brain and large-scale production capabilities, which provide the company with a unique market advantage. Additionally, Tesla is working on integrating the FSD system into a unified technology stack to enhance overall performance in both urban and highway driving.
