According to Odaily, the customer data of crypto-friendly Evolve Bank has been leaked by Lockbit. Initially, Lockbit threatened to release federal reserve data containing secrets of American banks, but eventually leaked 33TB of data from Evolve Bank and Trust. The leaked content includes details of enforcement actions imposed by the Federal Reserve on Evolve Bank, as well as unsafe and unsound banking practices involved in Evolve Bank's cooperation with fintech.
The leaked files reportedly contain personal identity information of end users, such as social security numbers, PAN card numbers, and wire and settlement files. Lockbit set a deadline for ransom payment, but apparently did not receive payment. Evolve Bank acknowledged these reports in customer notifications and is actively investigating the details of the incident.
