According to Foresight News, Three Sigma, a company specializing in Web3 engineering, research, and investment, has launched a new protocol called zkAuth. This protocol aims to integrate traditional identity systems into Web3 accounts. It allows existing applications to incorporate blockchain functionality without requiring users to create new accounts or manage private keys.

ZkAuth combines Web2 identity standards with Web3 technology, leveraging account abstraction (AA) to create a seamless user experience on zkSync. It relies on the OpenID Connect (OIDC) standard to verify transactions, simplifying blockchain interactions through familiar login processes such as social media accounts.
