🚨Kazakhstan Cracks Down on Crypto Exchangers 🚫
In 2024, Kazakhstan’s authorities blocked over 3,500 online crypto exchangers, shut down 36 offline locations, dismantled two pyramid schemes, and confiscated assets worth $4.8 million USDT, according to the Agency for Financial Monitoring.
The offline exchangers had a total turnover of 60 billion tenge (around $112M). Authorities also recovered $545,000 for pyramid victims and froze an additional $120,000.
Kazakhstan’s actions highlight a growing global crackdown on unregulated crypto activities.
