ETHGlobal, a company that hosts Ethereum-focused events, held its latest hackathon after Devcon in Bangkok, Thailand last weekend. At the end of the meetup, 713 projects were submitted to a panel of judges, including crypto experts such as #Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, Aave founder Stany Kulekhov, and Jesse Pollack, creator and head of Base.
the 10 finalists chosen by the judges are distinguished by their focus on the growing cryptocurrency sector, from memcoins to artificial intelligence agents and DAO tools. The project competed for its share of the $750,000 prize pool, the largest in ETHGlobal's history.
I serve as a judge at ETHGlobal and see two distinct trends in the hundreds of projects I review: tokenization and artificial intelligence agents,
Will Binns, chief developer of the base, writes on The X website.
One of the winning project's main focuses was a game that took 10 of the first 4 spots. One of the winners, Metaloot, is a launchpad created to connect the game to Flow, but the rest is the game itself. LootGO is a memcoin hunt, BubbleWars is a game developed for Telegram that uses Ethereum fundamentals, and Dark Factory is a combination of Dark Forest research and Factorio automation.
Another area we are paying special attention to: DAO tools.
MiniDAO is a tool that allows you to create a Dao in Telegram, but the bot has a wallet controlled by the group members.
DAOGenie uses artificial intelligence agents to automatically make purchases, send donations, process messages, and perform other tasks based on DAO voting. Another finalist,Industry.
