Drift Zone, a Web3 gaming studio, has received a $190,000 grant from the Sei network, aiming to revolutionize Gacha gaming in Asia. With a player base of over 500,000 already engaged in its Telegram mini-game, Drift Zone: Arena, the studio plans to bring blockchain technology to popular gaming mechanics.
Gacha games, which generated $4.4 billion in Asia last year, are popular due to their addictive gameplay. Drift Zone is enhancing this formula by offering real-world rewards through Sei’s high-performance blockchain technology. The Sei network boasts a block finality of 380 milliseconds and can process up to 12,500 transactions per second, ensuring seamless gameplay.
The studio is working on expanding the Drift Zone ecosystem, and players can now claim rewards directly to their Sei wallets and verify achievements on-chain. With Drift Zone’s upcoming game, Drift Zone: Origin, a collectible auto-battler, already available on Sei, the studio is poised to expand into lucrative gaming markets and redefine the Gacha format.
