Spot Bitcoin ETFs Face Heavy Losses — Who Took the Biggest Hit?

The 12 spot bitcoin ETFs faced a rough trading day, shedding a hefty $541.07 million in total outflows. Fidelity’s FBTC bore the brunt, with $169.6 million in investor withdrawals on Mon. Meanwhile, Ark Invest and 21shares watched $138.26 million slip away, and Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust saw a $89.49 million dip as funds flowed out. Bitwise’s BITB was next in line, seeing $79.84 million flow out, while Grayscale’s GBTC dropped by $63.66 million.
Franklin Templeton’s EZBC took a hit of $17.62 million, and Vaneck’s HODL followed suit, letting go of $15.28 million on Mon. Wrapping up the list, Valkyrie’s BRRR slipped by about $5.74 million over the course of the trading day. On the flip side, Blackrock’s IBIT fund pulled in $38.42 million, helping to cushion the day’s overall losses. With this activity, the total cumulative net inflows landed at $23.61 billion as of Nov. 5.
Meanwhile, the nine ethereum funds weren’t spared from Monday’s losses, as $63.22 million in assets exited. Leading the decline, Grayscale’s Ethereum Mini Trust let go of $31.94 million, closely trailed by Fidelity’s FETH, which shed about $31.5 million. Grayscale’s ETHE also saw a divestment of roughly $10.8 million. Yet again, Blackrock’s ETHA fund managed to gather momentum, pulling in $11.01 million according to sosovalue.xyz stats.
This $63.22 million drop raised the cumulative net outflows from the ETH ETFs to a substantial $554.66 million. Monday’s spot bitcoin ETFs hit a trading volume of $2.22 billion, while the ethereum funds saw $149.11 million in trades. As of Tuesday, the 12 BTC funds now hold $67.44 billion in bitcoin, representing 5.06% of the cryptocurrency’s total market cap, and the nine ETH funds hold $6.63 billion, making up 2.27% of ethereum’s market cap. #Write2Earn
