you cannot have a alt season if the eth/btc pair doesnt become bullish.

for people now wondering why alts dont pump, you should take a look at this chart and analyse for yourself.

if only eth/btc can break out from the downtrend and continue a momentum up, you wont see alts rising to 5-6x.

This chart is the best indicator of an alt rally than every other indicator out there..

so if you dont follow this pair for your trades you will keep losing money in alts.

#eth should be taking support around 0.034 region and reverse this to potentially have an upside towards 0.07 or may be even 0.089.. if eth fails to take support and falls to 0.016 we could see alts bleeding to shake almost all long positions out of play.
