Web3 security platform Blockade has warned that Ambient Finance, a scroll-based decentralized exchange (DEX), has suffered a frontend attack, advising users to refrain from signing transactions until the issue is resolved. Blockade said in a tweet on Wednesday that the malicious code was pushing an unauthorized transaction at the end of legitimate-looking transactions on the platform. A frontend attack involves alterations to a website or application's user interface (UI), allowing an attacker to intercept and manipulate user data and transactions. Once a user approves a transaction on the compromised platform, their funds can be compromised. Ambient Finance acknowledged the attack on its Discord server, informing users of the malicious activity and urging them to avoid using the platform. The team is currently working to fix the issue.
