Coinbase seeks CFTC communications to defend against SEC lawsuit.
SEC alleges Coinbase listed unregistered securities without proper requirements.

The CFTC has so far resisted complying with the subpoena issued in June 2024. It cities concerns about relevance and the burden of producing the requested documents. In response, Coinbase offered to cover the costs of retrieving and reviewing the materials, stressing the importance of the case.
Meanwhile, Coinbase has announced a scheduled system upgrade for Saturday. It will temporarily affect services like Simple and Advanced Trade on its platform.
