Fabric Cryptography, a startup focused on hardware, has announced the closure of its $33M Series A investment co-led by Blockchain Capital and 1kx. Additional round participants included @OffchainLabs, @0xPolygon, and @The_Matter_Labs. Fabric develops VPUs, a custom silicon chip that uses an instruction set architecture specific to cryptography. The new chips are slated to go into production later this year.
