According to Odaily, two Chinese nationals were recently kidnapped and killed in the Philippines, with authorities from three countries now involved in the investigation. The families of the victims are still awaiting autopsy results and updates on the investigation.

The victims, who were involved in the medical equipment industry and worked for different companies, were kidnapped after arriving in the Philippines. One of the victims was a Chinese citizen, while the other was a Chinese-American. Their bodies were discovered on June 24th.

The family of the Chinese-American victim, identified as Mr. Sun, stated that the kidnappers demanded a ransom of 15 million RMB, to be converted into the cryptocurrency USDT and transferred to a specified account. However, they did not pay the ransom. The family of the other victim also received a similar ransom demand and paid 3 million RMB.
