A Universidade de São Paulo (USP), considerada a maior do Brasil, fechou um convênio para pesquisa em tokenização de ativos em blockchain.
De acordo com apuração do Livecoins, a pesquisa foi assinada no final de novembro de 2024, mas se tornou oficial apenas nos últimos dias.
Para coordenar o projeto, o professor Marcos Antonio Simplicio Junior foi o escolhido para o novo projeto de pesquisa. Este atua atualmente como docente na Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo (EPUSP).
O professor Marcos, que também atua na Unicamp (Campinas), já publicou diversos artigos sobre blockchain e tecnologias P2P, além de ter participado de iniciativas privadas de pesquisa com a Ripple e Bradesco no passado.
Com mais de um século de pesquisas no Brasil, fundada em 1893, a EPUSP se incorporou a USP em 1934 e se tornou uma das maiores formadoras de engenheiros do Brasil.
Apuração do Livecoins encontrou informações sobre o novo projeto de pesquisa encaminhado pela USP envolvendo a tokenização de ativos ligados ao setor imobiliário. Assim, poderá surgir uma “Plataforma de Tokenização do Setor Imobiliário“.
