Tectum, a layer-1 blockchain, has revealed an ambitious roadmap update featuring several product launches. The roadmap includes the release of the SoftNote Wallet Mobile App and major upgrades to the network and its applications. This comprehensive plan is divided into two phases, aiming to enhance both live and testnet modes.
Tectum Blockchain Launch Timeline
In the first phase, set to go live by September 1st, 2024, Tectum will launch its private blockchain and decentralized ledger. This update will introduce a basic validator node consensus protocol, similar to the Solana staking model.
Moreover, developers will gain access to an API, enabling them to connect their Light Node to the private blockchain. This connection allows for minting, burning, blacklisting, sending, and transferring ownership of custom tokens.
Significantly, transactions via Light Nodes will only cost 0.1% of the transaction value, with a maximum fee of $1. This fee structure requires joint approval from Validator Nodes and the originating Light Node.
Besides the blockchain launch, Tectum will debut the SoftNote Wallet Mobile App for both Android and iOS devices. This application will feature the wallet’s latest functionalities, including the revamped Mint House section, providing users with an enhanced experience.
Public Blockchain Testnet Launch
In the second phase, Tectum will launch its public blockchain in Testnet mode. During this period, developers will participate in a hackathon to test various features on the world’s fastest layer-1 blockchain network.
Key features available for testing will include the minting and management of custom tokens, as well as the creation, transfer, and burning of custom SoftNote Bills. To facilitate this hackathon, Tectum will provide access to the testnet blockchain’s source code, SDK, API, and the TectumCore.exe application.
Tectum’s suite of products includes the SoftNote Wallet, which offers a user-friendly interface for digital asset management, and SoftNote Bills, which enhance Bitcoin’s utility. Additionally, the X-Factor Authenticator provides a quantum-proof three-factor authentication protocol, ensuring top-tier security.
