Brazilian investors are embracing cryptocurrency, with some holding up to 35% of their portfolios in digital assets. This is according to a survey conducted by the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) among 700 local investors. The survey found that respondents hold an average of 7.5% of their portfolios in cryptocurrency wallets. However, this number varies depending on the investor's risk tolerance. Moderate investors allocate 21% of their portfolios to cryptocurrencies, while aggressive investors hold a significantly higher 35% in digital assets. These findings suggest that Brazilian investors are increasingly seeing cryptocurrency as a legitimate investment option. This is likely due to the growing popularity and acceptance of cryptocurrencies around the world, as well as the increasing number of investment products and services that are available to Brazilian investors. As cryptocurrency continues to gain traction, it is likely that Brazilian investors will continue to increase their exposure to this asset class.
