AirSwap is a decentralized protocol that enables peer-to-peer trading on the Ethereum blockchain. The platform offers off-chain negotiation and on-chain settlement.
Parties are able to signal their intent to trade tokens to others off-chain. Once connected, counterparties can freely communicate prices and transmit orders to each other. Meanwhile, parties may request prices from an independent third party oracle to verify accuracy. Once parties agree, an Ethereum smart contract is used to fill orders on the Ethereum blockchain.
AirSwap Delegates enable on-chain, non-custodial, and trustless limit order functionality on the AirSwap network.
The AST token is an ERC-20 token that has two primary functions:
It can signal the intention to buy or sell Ethereum-based tokens.
It enables voting power to the traders who provide managing capabilities to the roles of Oracles within the platform.
