Ilya “Dutch” Lichtenstein has been sentenced to five years in prison for his involvement in one of the largest cryptocurrency hacks, the 2016 Bitfinex attack, and for money laundering stolen funds. His wife and accomplice, Heather Morgan, awaits sentencing on November 18; prosecutors have suggested an 18-month sentence for her.

The stolen bitcoin from the 2016 hack represents the largest cryptocurrency seizure in U.S. history, with an estimated value of around $10.7 billion at the time.
