Softbank's CEO, Masayoshi Son, predicts AI will be 10 times smarter than humans by 2030 and 10,000 times smarter by 2035. Speaking at Softbank's annual meeting, Son outlined the company's focus on developing an "artificial super intelligence" (ASI) that could revolutionize human life. He distinguished between artificial general intelligence (AGI), equivalent to human genius, and ASI, which would far surpass human capabilities. However, there's no scientific consensus on the feasibility of AGI or ASI with current technology. Softbank's shares fell by over 3% after the meeting.
