#BTC Wall Street Journal: Is it possible to cut interest rates in September if we get 2-3 more inflation data like today?
FED: When we look at the "dot chart", this is just our estimate based on current information. There are all possibilities and the biggest factor is future economic data.
To reduce interest rates, one of two things must happen:
1- We believe that inflation will fall as expected
2- The unemployment situation is worse
Fed's Powell: Today's inflation report was better than almost everyone expected, we need to see what today's data means on the balance of risks.
Powell: The pre-pandemic ultra-low interest world may not come back.
