The most significant growth was seen in South American countries, at 116.5% â from 25.5 million to 55.2 million. On the European continent, the number of holders grew by 60.3% from 30.7 million to 49.2 million people. In Africa, the growth was 8.5%, from 40.1 million to 43.5 million.
