On March 17, Binance announced that it will delist Helium (HNT) and Tael (WABI) tokens from its platform. The delisting will occur on March 24, 2023, at 03:00 (UTC). Binance stated that it periodically reviews each digital asset it lists to ensure that it continues to meet the high level of standard expected. When a coin or token no longer meets this standard or the industry changes, it conducts a more in-depth review and may potentially delist it.

Several factors were considered for the delisting of the tokens, including the commitment of the team to the project, the level and quality of development activity, trading volume and liquidity, stability and safety of the network from attacks, network/smart contract stability, level of public communication, responsiveness to periodic due diligence requests, and contribution to a healthy and sustainable crypto ecosystem.

According to the announcement, Binance will delist and cease trading on all trading pairs for the HNT and WABI tokens. The exact trading pairs being removed are HNT/BUSD and WABI/BTC. All trade orders will be automatically removed after trading ceases in each respective trading pair.

The exchange has also suspended deposits of HNT tokens starting from March 25, 2023, at 03:00 (UTC). Deposits of HNT tokens after this time will not be credited to users’ accounts, and recovery will not be supported. However, Binance will support the Helium (HNT) contract swap on the Solana (SOL) network. Withdrawals of HNT tokens will be suspended on April 17, 2023, at 03:00 (UTC), and will be reopened on April 21, 2023, at 03:00 (UTC).
