According to Foresight News, South Korean blockchain gaming platform WEMIX has announced the launch of its Brioche hard fork. The hard fork is designed to implement revised token minting rules, introduce an enhanced version of WEMIX PLAY, and integrate blockchain technology into 'Legend of YMIR'.

The changes brought about by the Brioche hard fork in the token economy model include: implementing a halving adjustment to the number of coins minted, destroying approximately 435 million WEMIX reserved by the foundation, and allocating ecosystem development funds according to the circulation supply plan, non-circulating WEMIX holdings, and development costs. The goal of the adjustment is to achieve a total supply of 588 million WEMIX by 2100, a 60% reduction from the current maximum supply of 980 million.
