According to PANews, Ava Labs Engineering Manager Patrick O'Grady recently announced on the X platform that the Avalanche interoperability era is set to begin on March 7th at 0:00 Beijing time, with the release of the proposed Durango upgrade production code (AvalancheGo@v1.11.0). If there is enough staking support for Durango, it will be activated on the mainnet at 0:00 Beijing time on March 7th. In addition, Avalanche Korea officially confirmed today that the Durango upgrade activation time is expected to be at 0:00 Beijing time on March 7th.
The Durango upgrade will introduce Avalanche Warp Messaging (AWM) to the C-chain, enabling native cross-chain communication for every EVM chain in the Avalanche ecosystem and establishing a standard for future virtual machine (VM) use with AWM.
