Virtuals Protocol, a blockchain firm specializing in AI agents, recently faced a security hiccup when a bug was found in one of its audited smart contracts. On December 3, security researcher Jinu identified the vulnerability, which could have halted the creation of AgentTokens. Despite the lack of an active bug bounty program, Virtuals Protocol swiftly issued a fix after Jinu's public disclosure. The company has yet to decide on a reward for Jinu's discovery but acknowledged the oversight and promised to review the issue's severity. Cointelegraph is awaiting further comments from the firm.
