Analysts Set $8K Ethereum Target With ‘Imminent’ Altseason – Why 2025 Could Be Altcoins’ Best Year Yet
Steno Research predicts a $150,000 all-time high for Bitcoin and Ethereum in a 2025 altseason in their December research report.
The research expects “unparalleled levels, further bolstered by significant inflows into U.S.-based Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs” due to institutional acceptance.

Steno expects $48 billion and $28.5 billion net inflows from BTC and ETH ETFs in 2025.
Bitcoin has led the market so far, but Steno is “increasingly optimistic about an imminent altcoin season” that may see Ethereum overtake Bitcoin in 2025.

Falling to ‘Altseason’ Bitcoin Dominance
If this happens, Bitcoin will be more isolated from altcoins.
ETH/BTC should reach “at least 0.06” according to Steno. TradingView data shows it is approximately twice the current level of 0.035.
According to the research, Bitcoin dominance will shrink from approximately 58% to 45%, introducing a wider altcoin season.
The market is at 47 on Blockchain Centre's Altcoin season index, down from 88 in November and 75 in a robust altseason.
Bullish Fundamentals Could Make 2025 Altcoin's Best Year
Steno Research also observed stacking factors for an altseason that may make 2025 the largest year for cryptocurrencies.
The “exceptionally favorable regulatory environment for cryptocurrencies” under the upcoming Trump administration is likely to boost the asset class.
The experts observed that this implies the premise that making the U.S. “crypto capital” benefits altcoins and Bitcoin
Steno added Trump's presidency “encourages more robust on-chain activity, which benefits altcoins such as Ethereum and Solana significantly,” with dApp TVL expected to hit $300 billion in 2025, up from $180 billion in 2021.
