According to a report by Coindesk, Denmark-based macro and cryptocurrency analytics firm, Steno Research, predicts that Ethereum (ETH) will significantly outperform Bitcoin (BTC) in terms of returns by 2025. The report projects that Bitcoin could rally to a range of around $94,000 to at least $150,000 next year, while Ethereum is likely to more than double from its current price of around $3,400 to at least $8,000. This would push the ETH/BTC ratio from its current level of 0.0357 to as high as 0.06 over the next 12 months. The report suggests that the coming year will witness altcoins taking center stage, particularly if Donald Trump wins the US presidential election, which could favor altcoins over Bitcoin and potentially reduce Bitcoin's dominance from 56.6% to 45%. Moreover, the report anticipates the total value locked (TVL) in decentralized applications to reach a record high of $300 billion next year, further boosting altcoins' performance.
