Mantle Network, a popular Ethereum layer 2 (L2) platform known for its modular design and early adoption of EigenLayer’s EigenDA, has formed an alliance with Succinct to establish itself as the highest-total value locked (TVL) zero-knowledge (ZK) validity rollup. This strategic move combines Mantle Network’s existing modular architecture, data availability solutions through EigenDA, and now ZK proofs via SP1 to create a comprehensive liquidity chain for institutional-grade settlement and value transfer within the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem.
Since its mainnet launch in July 2023, Mantle Network has become one of the top five L2s by TVL, processing 175 million on-chain transactions, seeing 1.4 million smart contract deployments, connecting to 10 million unique wallet addresses, and maintaining 4.9 million monthly active wallet addresses.
The integration of Succinct’s SP1 is expected to significantly reduce transaction finality times from seven days to one hour, enabling faster and more efficient settlements of high-value assets across both traditional finance and decentralized markets. With this move, Mantle Network aims to provide a unified Ethereum ecosystem that promotes scalability, innovation, and interoperability among various decentralized applications (dApps).
