According to PANews, Apple has released new software versions for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, introducing the long-awaited integration of Siri with ChatGPT. This feature is based on OpenAI's GPT-4o model and is designed to enhance Siri's ability to handle complex queries. When Siri encounters a question it cannot answer directly, it will request user authorization to access ChatGPT services. Apple emphasizes data privacy, ensuring that OpenAI does not store the content of these requests. Users can access this feature without an OpenAI account, though an upgraded version of ChatGPT is available for purchase through Apple. This integration is a significant highlight of the iOS 18.2 update.

In addition, Apple plans to introduce further upgrades to Apple Intelligence next year, which will include enhanced in-app operational capabilities for Siri. To enable Apple Intelligence, users must have an iPhone 15 or later model and can apply for experience eligibility through system settings.
