Pump Science, a decentralized science platform, has issued an apology after a private key leak on GitHub led to fraudulent token creation. The breach allowed a "known attacker" to exploit the Pump.fun profile, generating fake tokens like Urolithin B and Cocaine. Pump Science's Benji Leibowitz assured users in an AMA session that such incidents won't recur, pledging not to launch tokens on Pump.fun again. The platform has renamed its profile to "dont_trust" and teamed up with Blockaid for enhanced security. A full audit and bug bounty are planned to prevent future breaches.
