ElevenLabs, a company known for its advanced text-to-speech technology, has partnered with WorkHaven to improve accessibility to recovery resources for survivors of Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) through the Verdella program. This collaboration aims to overcome language barriers by offering audio guidance in nine different languages.

Verdella is a program managed by WorkHaven that provides essential support to DFV survivors in their recovery journey. Recognizing the challenges posed by language differences, ElevenLabs used its cutting-edge voice technology to produce audio content for Verdella’s nine modules which were initially available in English.

The audio files are designed to offer personalized guidance to participants and facilitate a more tailored recovery experience. In a significant expansion effort, Verdella’s audio resources are now available in eight additional languages: Arabic, Hindi, Korean, Punjabi, Tagalog, Vietnamese, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

This multilingual initiative has been made possible through the collaboration with 2M Language Services, ensuring certified translations that maintain the program’s integrity and effectiveness. The strategic move allows a broader audience to access Verdella’s resources in their preferred language, potentially increasing engagement and effectiveness.

By offering these resources in multiple languages, ElevenLabs and WorkHaven are not only enhancing accessibility but also empowering survivors to navigate their recovery with greater ease and confidence. The collaboration between ElevenLabs and WorkHaven highlights the transformative power of AI technology in addressing societal challenges, particularly in providing critical support to vulnerable communities.

As the program continues to evolve, it sets a precedent for how technology can be leveraged to bridge gaps in accessibility and support.
