Time To Get Locked And Loaded!

Previously, we had the opportunity to share AutoHero with you in our first article. This article will explore the different weapons at your disposal in AutoHero. Are you relying on a constant punishing barrage of fire, or do you prefer a more tactical approach, inflicting heavy, slow shots one after the other? With all the weapons and accessories available, there’s a good combo for you.

Player Loadout

Each hero in Autohero can equip one weapon, armor, and two accessories. These items each come with their unique bonuses and possible effects. They also come in varying rarities, from Common to Exalted, which affects the equipment’s base stats and maximum potential through upgrades. Upgrading these items increases the bonuses these items give the player. The costs for upgrading can range from a simple gold and material cost to other upgrade materials specific to the item you are upgrading. Want to make that Legendary Loop Rifle you just found do more damage? You’ll probably need to find Loop Rifle Material and Rainbow Material.

Item Fusion and Upgrades

All the items you collect will appear on the loadout screen. You can sort the items by Slot or Rarity, making inventory management easy. Next to the sort button is the Fuse button. This is where you can take any three identical items in the same rarity and combine them into one item of the next higher rarity. For example, let’s say you find three common Blasters out clearing levels. Head over to the fuse section in the Loadout and watch the magic happen. Select your three blasters, tap Fuse, and your newly upgraded weapon will be created. The maximum level at which you can upgrade the gun increases, and the weapon will gain a significant increase in attack.

Upgrading your Blaster rifle will cost materials and gold. Materials can be collected as drops throughout your play, and materials can be collected from chests and scraping weapons and armor. Scrapping items rewards random materials, so don’t be surprised when you scrap armor and receive weapon materials. Equipment that can be upgraded will have a green arrow icon located in the top right corner. Tapping the item you want to upgrade will bring up the item’s details, and down in the bottom right-hand corner, you will see the cost in materials and gold. Tap upgrade, and the item will be advanced to the next level. The only limit to these upgrades will be your available resources and the rarity level cap.

Weapons of AutoHero

Auto Handgun: This is the starting weapon you get, but don’t underestimate it. Boasting one of the highest fire rates in the game, this weapon can quickly down enemies of all shapes and sizes. Its initial low damage can seem like a huge drawback, but after a few upgrades, its rate of fire quickly increases the damage output. Great buffs for this gun would be double shot, damage increase, and fire rate increase.

Blaster: With a slightly faster firing rate, the blaster is good at dealing large damage numbers while putting out a decent volley of projectiles. Faster enemies will still be able to dodge at range. Increasing the number of projectiles or adding penetration may make the blaster far more effective for groups of enemies.

Laser Rifle: The Laser Rifle is the closest thing to a sniper rifle in this game. The gun fires very slowly but hits for massive damage. Its unique ability gives each shot penetration, making the weapon very effective for taking out lines of enemies. The Laser Rifle’s projectile is one of the quickest, able to hit even the most agile enemies at range. Any upgrades to the fire rate or the number of projectiles will compound this weapon’s damage.

Leviathan: Do you like it when games give you an Insta-kill headshot type effect? The Leviathan’s unique ability is called Jaws, and it randomly executes enemies you are shooting. With its slower fire rate, this gun can be helpful whenever its unique ability goes off. Good upgrades for this weapon would be piercing and bouncing shots, allowing you to take advantage of its unique ability over and over with the same projectiles.

Pirate Triplet: This weapon uniquely fires three bouncing balls. Firing in a spread pattern, this weapon’s projectiles will bounce off walls all over the map until they hit a target. With its rapid-fire rate, this weapon can quickly clear an area of many pesky enemies. It’s almost like a shotgun that shoots multiple pinballs. With its unruly projectiles, adding piercing creates a compounded damage effect as the balls bounce back and forth, hitting enemies multiple times.

Zap Cannon: This is a slower-firing weapon with an explosive projectile. Suitable for large amounts of damage to single, slower enemies. It suffers when faced with multiple quick-moving ground and aerial units, and the explosive radius is small. When looking for upgrades in the game, stick to powers that increase firing rate and projectile number.

Loop Rifle: With a medium firing rate, the unique abilities of this weapon make it a workhorse. Each shot automatically gets the piercing effect, and any shot that hits a wall will immediately bounce back toward where it came from. Unlike a wall bounce, this effect makes the bullet return, hitting your target a second time before dissipating. Keep your fire focused on an enemy long enough, and you’ll see your bullets “looping” back for extra damage. Upgrading the weapon’s damage and projectiles can make this weapon even more punishing.

When you explore AutoHero’s arsenal, every weapon offers its twist on combat. You may be darting between enemies with the rapid-fire Auto Handgun or bringing the Laser Rifle’s sheer power to bear. Each choice lets you tailor the game to your playstyle. So jump in, experiment with upgrades, play around with fusions, and get a feel for what each weapon can do. Find the combination that gives you the advantage. In AutoHero, the guns you choose can make all the difference. Sometimes, though, it’s all about timing and strategy in how you use it. Happy shooting and can’t wait to see some of the combos that you all create!
