💌Vitalik Buterin's Thoughts on "The Surge"

Vitalik Buterin has just shared the core goals for the “The Surge” phase of Ethereum's development roadmap.

Regarding the Ethereum development roadmap, Vitalik Buterin aims to achieve over 100,000 transactions per second (TPS) on the Ethereum mainnet and layer-2 for The Surge phase, while also increasing interoperability between these blockchains.

Vitalik proposed another solution that is to make specific features and types of computation cheaper without reducing decentralization.

He also highlighted improvements such as “multi-dimensional gas pricing,” reducing gas for opcodes, and introducing a new bytecode format.
