Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin sold several memecoins in his wallet for $340,000.

Vitalik Buterin, who has always been on the agenda with his sales and charitable donations, converted the memecoins in his wallet into cash. Buterin bought $ETH with the cash he earned from popular memecoins on the Ethereum network.

According to on-chain data, a crypto wallet connected to Buterin sold memecoins for 140.6 ETH on October 5. The name in the focus of the reactions did not share clear information about the sales he made.

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin sold 70.71 million $NEIRO , 11.76 billion MoodengCTOETH (MOODENG), 7.8 million DEGEN and 16.03 billion KABOSU in his wallet. Buterin, who converted all these memecoins to ETH, also bought $ETH with the $ 100,000 donated by the CATE project.

The MoodengCTOETH team made statements after Buterin's sale. The team noted the following;

"Hello dear Vitalik Buterin, we noticed that you sold MOODENG worth 21 ETH. As a community dedicated to charity and bringing value to the world through cryptocurrency, we hope that the amount you received will contribute to your philanthropic efforts."

The team reported that Buterin still has 50 billion MOODENG worth over $ 1 million in his wallet. Buterin was called to make good use of the crypto assets in his wallet.

Spot On Chain reported that Buterin donated 100 ETH to defend the legal rights of Tornado Cash developers at the time of his memecoin sale.
