As usual, the popular Shiba Inu community burn tracker, Shibburn, reported a major burn transaction, highlighting that 250 million SHIB tokens were sent to the official dead wallet.
According to Shibburn, the transaction took place at 14:55 (UTC) yesterday. At the time of the burn, these 250 million SHIB tokens were valued at approximately $3,232.
Living The Dream Burns 250M SHIB
- Although Shibburn did not disclose the identity of the person behind the burn, data from Etherscan revealed that a new crypto project, Living The Dream (LTD), was responsible for burning the 250 million SHIB tokens.
- The LTD team confirmed the burn in a post on X, noting that alongside the 250 million SHIB, they also burned 1 billion LTD tokens.

Shiba Inu by executing significant token burns. Last month, LTD destroyed 500 million SHIB in two days, including a single burn of 280 million SHIB. These actions are part of LTD’s ongoing “Shiba Burn Series” campaign, aimed at drastically reducing SHIB's circulating supply.
Shiba Inu Burn Rate Jumps 1,664%
- Following LTD's latest burn, Shiba Inu’s burn rate surged by 1,664% over the past 24 hours. The community saw a total of 250.89 million SHIB incinerated in three transactions, including LTD’s 250 million SHIB burn.
- To date, over 41% of Shiba Inu’s original 1 quadrillion token supply has been burned, equating to 410.72 trillion SHIB tokens. Currently, Shiba Inu’s total supply stands at 589.27 trillion, with 583.45 trillion in circulation and the remaining 5.81 trillion SHIB staked on ShibaSwap.
