**Chaos Labs Secures $55M in Series A Funding**

Chaos Labs, a New York-based blockchain security platform, has raised $55 million in a Series A funding round led by Haun Ventures. Notable investors include PayPal, Lightspeed, Galaxy Ventures, and Wintermute, with new backers like F-Prime Capital and The Spartan Group joining in.

The startup specializes in providing risk management and economic security for DeFi protocols such as Aave, GMX, and Jupiter. Their tech has safeguarded $860 billion in trading volume and $25 billion in loans.

Despite the advancements, DeFi platforms remain vulnerable, with $1.4 billion stolen by mid-2024, primarily through phishing attacks. Chaos Labs aims to use the new funds to develop real-time updates for onchain applications, enhancing security against evolving threats.
