Cardano Founder Ends Elon Musk Meeting Rumors

Cardano creator Charles Hoskinson disputed that Elon Musk interviewed former President Donald Trump at his Wyoming ranch. Musk's remarks regarding the hi-profile interview's location sparked crypto community speculation.

Tesla CEO and X CTO Elon Musk interviewed GOP presidential contender Donald Trump on Monday. Notably, the X Spaces interview did not include bitcoin. Musk teased his fans with a photo of himself at a Wyoming friend's property before the interview. He said, “Doing the ⁦Donald Trump⁩ Space at my friend’s Wyoming ranch.”

Musk's ambiguous description and Hoskinson's remark on the ranch's atmosphere sparked Cardano community speculation that the two tech magnates were developing a commercial tie. “Nice ranch,” Hoskinson said of Musk’s tweet.

Rick McCracken, a prominent Cardano figure, speculated that Hoskinson owned the site after this conversation. Charles, what sort of wood did you choose for your interior, asked McCracken? Hoskinson ambiguously said the wood was “locally sourced,”

“Alright, we’ve all had some good fun,” Hoskinson said X, quelling the rumors. Musk headed to Jackson to see Peter Thiel.

These rumors stem from Hoskinson's prior efforts to work with Musk, specifically on X bots. In mid-June, Hoskinson complained to Tony Edwards on the Thinking Crypto podcast about his outreach attempts going unanswered.

“We've reached out numerous times to try to engage with various people at X, even offering to do free work with verified tweets or other things because it's so bad right now with bots and these other things, and it's always silent,” he said.

Despite his close relationship with Elon Musk's brother Kimbal, Hoskinson said Cardano and partnerships have never been discussed. “I have spoken to Kimbal Musk and he has never mentioned Cardano or me,” he said, dispelling community hopes of a relationship.
