A rising total market cap = BULLISH
Declining market cap = BEARISH
~ TOTAL 2 INDEX:
This excludes #Bitcoin and gauges the health of the altcoin market.
If TOTAL 2 is rising and reaching new highs = ALTS BULLISH
Little secret:
Watch for divergences between TOTAL 2 and Bitcoin’s performance.
If TOTAL 2 outperforms Bitcoin = ALT SEASON
~ TOTAL 3 INDEX:
This represents the small altcoins market cap.
If this chart is gaining a lot of momentum,
It means money is flowing into “newer” and “highly speculative” coins.
This can indicate increased risk appetite = TOP IS NEAR
Historically,
Sharp increases in TOTAL 3 have preceded significant market corrections.
