Good trading comes from good psychology.
Good psychology comes from good health.
But you don't need to be Bryan Johnson to trade better, you can get 95% of the results with 5% of the work.
This is the ZC 3-Level Psychology System.
Level 1: The 4 Pillars of Lifestyle
1. Diet: Eat whole foods and eat less
2. Sleep: Have a fixed bedtime and get 8 hours sleep
3. Exercise: 20 mins cardio, 2X a week + full-body strength training, 2X a week (minimum)
4. Meditation: 15 mins a day.
Everyone should do these.
They will drastically improve your life (not just your trading) with little time investment.
In a bull market you'll think you don't have time and other things are more important, but nothing is more important than your health.
Level 2: Journaling
This helps you:
- Stick to your rules
- Identify key mistakes
- Improve using data
Every time you deviate from your strategy, it shows in your journal.
Journaling also helps us identify our triggers.
Example: Major spike in trading mistakes when hungry.
Solution: I always check a box saying "I'm not hungry" before trading.
These systems will save you during peak fear/greed.
Level 3: Everything Else
Optimizing health and journaling are the most important. But to go further;
-Remove distractions from your life to improve trading focus.
-Use therapy for psychological conditioning.
-Study cognitive biases
-Learn from experienced traders.
-Trade moar.
