Singapore's High Court has ordered the Multichain Foundation to compensate the Fantom Foundation for losses from a $210 million hack in July 2023. The hack affected multiple chains, including Fantom, Ethereum, BNB, Cronos, Polygon, Arbitrum, zkSync, Optimism, and Moonbeam. The court found Multichain responsible due to the CEO's ultimate control over the assets stored in the Multichain Bridge. Fantom was awarded $2.187 million, despite claiming its ecosystem losses were around a third of the total $210 million. Meanwhile, crypto losses from hacks and scams more than doubled in Q2 2024 compared to the previous year, reaching over $572 million.
