Portal Ventures raises oversubscribed $75M crypto fund

Early blockchain venture capital firm #PortalVentures completed the final fundraising for its second fund, oversubscribed by $15M, beyond its initial $75M target. The fund, led by founder Evan Fisher and general partner Catrina Wang, received backing from investors, including #a16z ’s Chris Dixon and Marc Andreessen, alongside support from the shared family office of KKR’s Henry Kravis and directors from #InsightPartners .

The fund will concentrate on pre-seed investments, frequently offering “first checks” to emerging blockchain companies, with a strong emphasis on discovering early-stage opportunities.
