A significant change may be coming for Solana's revenue distribution! Jito’s DAO has proposed a 3% allocation of all MEV tips to the DAO treasury and its new TipRouter platform, which could generate an impressive $22.8 million annually.
Jito Labs also plans to reduce its own share of MEV tips from 5% to 3%, raising the total taxed share of Jito tips from 5% to 6%. With MEV tips accounting for 54% of Solana's economic value, this proposal represents a key shift in how profits are distributed among validators, stakers, and the DAO.
The vote is still pending, but with such promising revenue potential, it’s expected to pass!
