RUG PULL ALERT 🚩 ZKasino Investor's & Hedgey Finance Lose Millions! 😡 Here What Happened 👇 Two devastating events occurred previous days. Crypto betting site casino (ZKasino) and the DeFi platform Hedgey Finance made investors lose millions. ZKasino has redirected $33 million in promised refunds to Lido instead. So basically, instead of converting investor's funds into the native token ZKAS, they put them in a discounted rate with a lengthy vesting schedule. ZKasino's behavior has consequently broke the trust of investors that were expecting a different outcome. In addition, they lost the control of their funds. I feel that this situation could turn in a rug pull soon. From the others side, two separate exploits affected the DeFi platform Hedgey Finance. Specifically, 1 exploit on the Arbitrum network with $42.8 million loss and 1 on the Ethereum network with $1.9 million loss. That's totaling $44.7 million in lost funds. That's a situation that could have been avoided in my opinion. In fact, especially DeFi platforms, should work strictly with auditors (e.g. Certik) and thus mitigate the risk of these exploits! Hackers Take Over McDonald’s Instagram, Make $700K on Fake Grimace Token !! Guillaume Huin, the Senior Marketing Director of McDonald's, reportedly suffered a security breach that resulted in the official social media account of the fast-food chain being compromised to promote a Solana-based memecoin called GRIMACE. Notably, the scam token is based on the fast-food chain’s purple mascot, Grimace. Guillaume’s personal Twitter account was also compromised by the attackers. They used it to make a series of posts promising GRIMACE holders that their Instagram accounts would soon be followed by McDonald’s. This saw the token’s market capitalisation rise to about $20 million before drastically plummeting to below $1 million. Shocking Cryptocurrency Scam in Ankara: Trader Loses 38 Million Liras! The rising popularity of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) has attracted not only investors but also scammers. Turkey is no exception, with increasing reports of crypto-related fraud. The latest alarming case comes from Ankara, where a trader lost 38 million Turkish liras. How the Scam Unfolded According to AA, a trader named B.A. was contacted by someone posing as an employee of a foreign cryptocurrency exchange. The scammer promised high returns on investments. B.A. was asked to deposit $250 as a trial, which he did. Shortly afterward, he was informed that his investment had yielded significant profits, and he was able to withdraw his funds. This built his trust, and he decided to invest larger amounts. Exploiting a Fake App B.A. subsequently transferred his funds into an app designed by the scammers to mimic a legitimate exchange platform. Reports reveal that during this process, the scammers infected his devices with spyware. They gained access to his phone, laptop, and tablet, allowing them to steal his login credentials for mobile banking and credit cards. Transferring Funds to Scammers' Wallets The scammers then transferred all of B.A.'s funds into their cryptocurrency wallets. When B.A. accessed the fake app, he discovered that his accounts had been completely emptied. Total Loss: 38 Million Liras The trader immediately contacted his lawyer, who confirmed that his client had lost 38 million Turkish liras. This case serves as another warning for investors to exercise extreme caution when dealing with cryptocurrencies and to trust only verified platforms. Lessons for Investors Beware of unsolicited offers: Scammers often promise unrealistically high returns to gain trust.Use official apps: Never log in to unknown or suspicious applications.Protect your devices: Secure your devices against malware and spyware.Verify trustworthiness: Always thoroughly check platforms and individuals before investing. There is a $2 million hot wallet hack on the cryptocurrency exchange CoinSpot. According to reports, CoinSpot, an Australian cryptocurrency exchange, suffered a $2.4 million attack due to a "probable private key compromise" involving at least one of its hot wallets. In a post on November 8, blockchain expert ZachXBT noted two transactions that entered the purported hacker's wallet on his channel. The owner of the wallet then used Wan Bridge and ThorChain to bridge the funds to the Bitcoin tickers down $36,772 network. A transaction totaling 1,262 Ether $1,928—worth $2.4 million at today's prices—came from a recognized CoinSpot wallet and into the wallet of the suspected hacker, according data from Etherscan. Subsequently, the wallet address holder of the 1,262 ETH started a sequence of transactions. The owner of the wallet used Uniswap to exchange 450 ETH for 24 Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) in two different transactions. #BTC #HackerAlert #hack #HotWallet #btcnews99

CoinsPaid Security Breach: A $7.5M Setback Raises Alarms.Hey Crypto Pals! 🚀 Durgesh in the house, ready to unfold the wild ride that just happened in the crypto world. Buckle up, because we’re diving into the rollercoaster of CoinsPaid and its latest $7.5 million heist. 😱 So, here’s the scoop: CoinsPaid, the Estonian maestro of crypto payments, just faced its second breach in six months. That’s like déjà vu, but way less fun. The Drama Unfolds 🍿 On January 6, the crypto alarm bells started ringing when Cyvers, the Web3 security wizards, caught wind of some serious monkey business. Unauthorized transactions, totaling a whopping $7.5 million, took place. It’s like someone decided to throw a crypto party without an invite! The sneaky attacker did a bit of Tetris with $6.1 million worth of Tether, Ether, USD Coin, and CPD tokens. Yep, you heard it right, almost 97 million CPD tokens went on a little vacation, swapping their cozy home for ETH and jetting off to accounts in MEXC, WhiteBit, and ChangeNOW. But that’s not all folks! There’s more drama behind the scenes. The attacker also made off with over $1 million worth of BNB, adding a spicy twist to the story. CoinsPaid: The Silent Player 🤐 Now, you might be wondering, what’s CoinsPaid got to say about all this? Well, it’s the strong, silent type. No public comments, no Instagram stories, nada. It’s like they’re playing poker with their emotions. For some context, this isn’t CoinsPaid’s first rodeo. Back in July 2023, they lost over $37 billion in another security breach. They blamed it on the North Korean Lazarus Group, who apparently pulled off a crypto heist using the oldest trick in the book — a fake job interview. Sneaky, right? Lessons from the Crypto Zoo 🦁 So, what can we learn from this crypto circus? First off, security is the VIP of the crypto party. Without it, you might end up with gatecrashers stealing your favorite crypto snacks. CoinsPaid, despite processing over 19 billion euros in crypto transactions, needs to up its security game. It’s like having a Lamborghini but leaving the keys on the hood. In Conclusion: Crypto, Comedy, and a Bit of Chaos 🎭 In the world of crypto, where fortunes are made and lost faster than you can say “blockchain,” CoinsPaid’s rollercoaster is just another loop-de-loop in the grand scheme of things. Let’s hope they tighten their security belts, learn from the script, and come back stronger. Until then, crypto enthusiasts, keep your passwords as secret as grandma’s cookie recipe.
