#BitwiseBitcoinETF A bitcoin futures exchange-traded fund (ETF) issues publicly traded securities that offer exposure to the price movements of bitcoin futures contracts. Here’s how it works: An investment company creates a subsidiary that acts as a commodity pool. The pool in turn trades bitcoin futures contracts typically in an effort to mimic the spot price of bitcoin. But there are costs involved like “roll premiums” and management fees, among others. Plus, futures contracts don’t track spot prices exactly, so returns may never be as high as, or in sync with, spot market prices.

#Crypto2025Trends During 2024, the total stable coin market cap grew by almost 50% to $193 billion, and it’s plausible that this expansion continues in the new year. In fact, back in April 2024, Bernstein published a research report in which it stated that the stable coin market can reach $2.8 trillion over the next five years, alongside a prediction (according to that report) for, “Major global financial and consumer platforms to issue co-branded stable coins to power value-exchange on their platforms”. Asset manager VanEck has also predicted that stable coins are set to “revolutionize payments”, with an expectation that stable coin settlement volumes will triple from current levels to hit $300 billion per day by the end of 2025, while Bitwise predicts a doubling in the stable coin market cap by the end of 2025.

#MarketRebound Bitcoin began the week with optimism, reaching a new record high near $108,000, buoyed by positive statements from U.S. President Trump about the crypto's potential as a reserve asset. However, the mood quickly soured midweek as the Federal Reserve’s hawkish stance triggered a significant pullback in the cryptocurrency market, and Bitcoin's momentum stalled. As traders awaited the Fed’s decision, the market had priced in a 25-basis-point rate cut, but uncertainty lingered over Jerome Powell’s speech, which ultimately revealed a more hawkish outlook.

#ChristmasMarketAnalysis Bitcoin has broken the floor of the rising trend channel in the short term, which indicates a weaker initial rising rate. The currency is between support at points 92000 and resistance at points 98000. A definitive break through of one of these levels predicts the new direction. Volume tops and volume bottoms correspond badly with tops and bottoms in the price. This weakens the currency. RSI diverges negatively against the price, which indicates danger of a reaction downwards. The currency is overall assessed as technically neutral for the short term.

#BTCOutlook Bitcoin (BTC) price has surged more than 140% in 2024, reaching the $100K milestone in early December. The rally was driven by the launch of Bitcoin Spot Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) in January and the reduced supply following the fourth halving event in April.
