🚨 Mt. Gox Moves 12,000 BTC 🚨

Mt. Gox has transferred 12,000 Bitcoin to an unidentified wallet, hinting at potential upcoming distributions to creditors. However, Alex Thorn from Galaxy notes that most of these assets are being moved into new cold storage, with only a small portion earmarked for distribution. This is the first major movement since July 30, when 47,229 BTC were moved to three unknown wallets.

💭 Bitpanda’s Deputy CEO, Lukas Enzersdorfer-Konrad, suggests that creditors might hold onto their returned Bitcoin, waiting for better market conditions to maximize their returns. Selling immediately could trigger significant capital gains, while holding could defer taxes and capitalize on future price increases.

🔍 Current Status: Mt. Gox still holds 46,164 BTC valued at around $2.7 billion.
