The Winklevoss twins, founders of crypto company Gemini, had their Bitcoin donations to Donald Trump's presidential campaign refunded after exceeding the federal limit. The twins had each donated $2 million in Bitcoin, surpassing the maximum $844,600 that can be legally accepted per person. It's unclear whether the refund was made in Bitcoin or cash. The Winklevoss brothers have shown significant political involvement, previously attending a Trump fundraiser and donating $5 million to the Fairshake political action committee. This comes as Gemini users are now able to recover funds invested in the now-bankrupt Gemini Earn program.
